POSITION SUMMARY

As a BOM Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations by applying a strong ERP understanding to processing BOM's . Your strong attention to detail and learned knowledge of components will ensure the accurate communication of information to ensure purchasing, machining, inventory, and build are processing the correct and current revision of information. You will leverage your ability to interpret complex instructions and 3D drawings to ensure all details are accounted for on the release.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

*Oversee the transition of BOMs from current materials to job materials within Syteline.

*Verify and update job BOMs to accurately reflect engineering changes.

*Utilize system to synchronize engineering designs with production materials.

*Collaborate across departments, working closely with Engineering, Machining, Inventory, and Purchasing teams to maintain precise BOM and configurator rules.

*Troubleshoot and timely resolve issues supporting inventory control and build by addressing BOM and sales order entry issues utilizing effective problem-solving strategies, including physical inventory verification.

*Conduct regular BOM audits to ensure inventory accuracy and correct parts usage in production.

*Identify and implement improvements in data and inventory management processes.

*Develop best practices and standard operating procedures for data handling and inventory control.

*Maintain documentation of data integrity and inventory control issues and resolutions for future reference.

*All other duties as assigned.



POSITION REQUIREMENTS

*Associate degree in manufacturing, technical, data analytics, or information systems specialty required

*2+ years of experience in a position that utilizes technical drawings.

*Understanding or interest in mechanical or technical products is advantageous.

*Basic understanding of database management and data structures.

*Proficient with MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, and Outlook at a minimum). The ability to read and comprehend AutoCAD and SolidWorks drawings is a plus.

*Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to evaluate alternative solutions.

*Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ensuring clear and effective interactions.

*Self-starter who can complete activities with minimal direction and above-average time management skills

*Familiarity with ERP systems, preferably Syteline, is beneficial.

*Eager to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.

*Regularly sits throughout the day

*Regularly utilizes depth perception, peripheral vision, and close focus

*Regularly operates a computer, computer accessories, and phone equipment

*Occasionally stands and moves throughout the shop
