Position Summary:As a Production Process Improvement Specialist, you will have the exciting opportunity to lead the standardization of production processes and provide invaluable support to our Production Department. Your expertise will be instrumental in coaching and leading continuous improvement activities and projects, while also developing a comprehensive training curriculum for our supervision and front-line leaders. By enhancing the process mastership of our teams, you will play a vital role in driving the success of our Production Department.Key Responsibiltities:Production Administration/Management, Leadership & Continuous Improvement:

  • Lead and coach production teams through process improvement activities and projects that drive reduction in top losses.
  • Lead functional operational reviews (DOR, WOR, MOR, QOR) to ensure clear definition of daily goals and address key metrics while balancing quality, productivity, cost, safety, and morale.
  • Actively participate in TPM/continuous improvement/digitalization initiatives.
  • Set ambitious objectives and motivate the team to achieve them by leading/supporting performance improvement initiatives across all production.
  • Identify and alert management of potential manufacturing bottlenecks and problems, and develop solutions to overcome them, including hands-on support for improvement initiatives.
  • Develop database systems to assist factory management, including leveraging systems like DMO, PowerBi, for KPI dashboards.
  • Conduct capacity studies and ensure accurate usage and accuracy of loss tools when needed.
  • Manage consistency of hourly paid-time off approval process, including staff allocation and needs in collaboration with supervisors.
  • Backfill production supervisory duties as needed.DSAP Data Analysis and Support:
    • Monitor activities related to health checks and drive improvements, including DMO data and entry health checks.
    • Support all DMO master data setup and ensure alignment with SAP to preserve integrity of both systems, including data accuracy.
    • Conduct training on DMO and SAP for production.
    • Own the DMO Performance Standard Routine.
    • Identify and address operational discrepancies (consumption, reconciliation, material usage deviations, etc.) impacting cost performance.
    • Support budget preparation activities and maintain other Operational performance-related Factory data systems (e.g., CST).
    • Support all production-related SAP master data to ensure smooth SAP activities on the plant floor and accurate system data, including updates of Master Recipes & Production Versions, CCRs, PSA bins, Resource management, ECM, and archiving of historical data.
    • Lead and conduct SAP system technical design for integration with complementary systems like MES or SWOP.
    • Support the planning and design of SAP mapping for new or enhancements to existing SAP integrations.
    • Daily management of direct interface of SAP with other complementary systems, including monitoring interface error process messages to ensure correct data transfers.
    • Perform month-end clean up, ensuring orders are properly closed, no negative inventory in WIP, no outstanding errors, and DMO confirmations are exported.
    • Support planned and unplanned SAP outages, as well as SAP BCP recovery activities for the site.Experience & Education Requirements:
      • High school diploma required
      • BS/BA degree is preferred, or a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree
      • Preferred experience in the food processing or pharmaceutical industry is desired.
      • Experience working with operations performance management systems such as DMO or equivalent, as well as SAP.
      • Proven experience with SAP/DMO mapping and integration is highly beneficial.
      • Thorough knowledge of SAP/DMO architecture, data flow, and extraction methods is preferred.Skills:
        • Proficiency in computer spreadsheets and databases.
        • Knowledge of statistics, financial analysis techniques, and basic work measurement skills is highly preferred.
        • Effective written and oral communication skills.
        • Strong leadership skills and a data-driven mindset.
        • Inquisitive, driven, approachable, and creative nature.
